Napping

Ohhhhh, nothing I hate worse than being awaken from a peaceful nap!

'D' thought it would be 'cute' to take a picture of me while I was napping. Oh why doesn't he use his brains????? Doesn't he know that the 'flash' from the camera would wake me up?? And blind me as well?????

Mmmmmmm you know what they say. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I'm sure I'll find some way to 'surprise' 'D'.

Little Ducky

'D' bought me a yellow, stuffed duck for Easter. He's very very soft. At first, I didn't quite know what to make of it. It didn't quack, it didn't move, it didn't eat, it didn't even go to the bathroom. So what good was it.

Well, it only took me a day to discover just how soft the duck is. So I 'march' on him. 'D' calls it 'making kitty biscuits'. All I know is that marching relaxes me, and I can fall asleep much faster after I march.

I do like the fuzzy duck. Just wished he talked so I would at least have some conversation when 'D&D' go to work.

The Feeding Of The Birds

I'm back! I know it's been a long time since I've blogged. The fault lies with 'D'. He has been busy trying to save data from the old computer; and transfering it to this new one. I hope he is done!

'D' decided to put bird food into the bird feeder. Well, I wouldn't call it food. All it was ... was sunflower seeds. Well, the bird feeder is located really, really close to the house. I can see it from the 'perch' near the outside door. So, I sit there and watch all these tasty birdies, eating sunflower seeds. All I can do is 'chatter' at them. For some reason, I want to chase them .... catch them .... perhaps it is instinct. I do know that I twitch my tail constantly when I watch them.

Oh I hope 'D' doesn't load the bird feeder during the summer months, or I'll be a nervous wreck!

Too bad I do not know how to close the inside door.

New Computer

Oh, sorry that I haven't written for awhile. 'D&D' bought a new computer. So I had to wait until they set it up. Don't care much for the keyboard. Too small for my paws. But it's fast. A lot faster than the old computer. I'll blog more in a couple days. 'D' is still taking things from his old computer and transfering it to the new one. He is slow. But I'll be patient with him.

Oh My A Blizzard

Well, it was not a snow storm after all. But a near blizzard! I tried looking out the window, but all I could see was white, white, white! And I could tell that it was cold too! My little kitty breath fogged up the window.

It didn't look fun at all to me. Sort of scary! If I was outside, I know that I would get lost. 'D' looked funny, bundled up - even wearing a wool hat. He went outside to shovel snow. I grinned to myself as I heard him, outside in the snow and cold, cleaning the walk - while I was inside all comfy and warm.

He did track some snow into the house. Wet and cold. And it quickly disappeared. Snow is funny that way. You know, it did taste good. Very ummmmm pure I guess is the word I want to say. Not at all like the water from the faucet.

20.4 inches of snow. That is three times my height, or there abouts. Mother nature is amazing, isn't she. She always has a way of letting us know exactly who is boss!

Another Snow Storm?

I heard 'D' telling 'D' that a snow storm was going. I had hoped that winter was over. Didn't that groundhog see his shadow or not see his shadow??? Whatever it was, winter should be done with.

They say up to 6 inches of snow. I would just love 6 inches of cat food stacked on my food bowl. That would be fine with me.

I shouldn't complain, at least I don't have to go out into it. And I guess if I did, no one would find me. You know, a white cat in the snow. Maybe you would see my pink nose - that's about it.

Oh, time for a poem.

Snow - By DD Keldan

It's white.
It's wet.
It's cold.

Snow

I have a fuzzy blanket to keep me warm.

Snow

It's white.
It's wet.
It's cold.

Snow

I laugh at the humans shoveling the walk.

The end.

The Hiding Cat

I love to play hide and seek. I don't think 'D' cares for it as much as I do. I love to run and hide; awaiting for 'D&D' to find me. I usually jump out and pounce at them; which means that I win! It's a fun game.

Sometimes I do not do very well at the game. But it is rare. Like in the picture that I posted. I thought I had the purrfect place to hide. So I'm sitting there waiting for 'D&D' to find me. It felt a bit drafty - but I didn't pay that much attention to that. I was awaiting for my chance pounce!

Weeeelllllll. I finally realized after what seemed like an eternity, that I had hidden behind a fireplace screen. And one could see through it. So, needless to say I felt a bit foolish because I wasn't hiding after all!

PS: I hate that fireplace screen.

Fake Spring?

My oh my! Was it a nice day outside today! I heard 'D' say it was over 60 degrees! I do not know exactly what 'degrees' means, but my nose told me that we were in the makings of Spring!

I had a feeling that Spring was around the corner. 'D' have been receiving a lot of catalogs in the mail. Gardening catalogs. He pours over them, marking on this page and that! I guess humans get Spring fever as well.

'D' then will talk about his flowers when he is looking over these catalogs. He does have pretty flowers (those are his pictured with this post. Grew them last year).

Sometimes he brings cut flowers into the house. They smell so good - strange but good. Of course, being the curious kitty that I am, I always wonder what they would taste like. And of course I do take a nip out of them every now and then. Hmmmmm most of them do not taste good! But they are pretty to look at!

An Actor Cat

Maybe I should be an actor. Oh, I'm soooooo good at roleplaying. I can act afraid, happy, playful, and serious. Just look at the picture posted with this blog. That is my serious side. I think it looks artsy. Dapper. Intense. It's an everything photo of me at my best. Of course it could be that 'D' snapped the picture as soon as I awoke from one of my many, many needful naps.

I think I would make a great actor. I could replace Morris the Cat, who just happens to be one of my role models. Or I could be the image of the phrase "does the cat have your tongue." Or maybe even the phrase, "have you been catting around."

Hmmmmmm I wonder if they would pay me in kitty treats.
