Sniff sniff - do I smell another tree of toys?

Well, 'D' was poking around in one of the rooms of the house, and I saw him open a box and inside were those shinny things that he puts on what he calls a Christmas Tree.

I remember those tree. All green with lights, and covered with all kinds of kitty toys for me to play with.

I can hardly wait until this tree is set up!

Of course I only play with the tree toys when 'D&D' are at work.

Please don't tell them.

No More Toys

Well .... my toys are gone! I'm not talking about those store bought kitty toys, but the toys that were hanging in the big tree in the entrance hall. What 'D&D' call the Christmas Tree.

I loved that tree. So green, so full of pretty lights and so full of TOYS! Those big red globes that I loved to bat around - gone. Oh the humanity!

Now what am I going to do all day long besides napping?

Once a year 'D&D' bring out this tree with all those toys on it. It doesn't stay very long. One day it is there - and the next thing I know - it's gone. I cannot understand why they do not leave it all year long - it gives me something to play with during the day.

Well, I only have about 10 more months to wait. And then - am I going to have some fun!!

Christmas Tree Part Two

Well! I have been getting yelled at a lot lately. All because of that Christmas Tree that D&D put up in the entrance hall. I thought it was a tree of cat toys for me, but was I ever wrong! What do they expect???? I'm a cat! It's a tree! On it's branches are shinny things! Duh! Two plus two equals four, does it not??? How would they like it if I put a brand new 56" plasma TV in the entrance hall, and every time they turned it on I yelled at them! I will NEVER understand humans...

PS: When D&D are at work, I play like crazy with than dang tree!

Christmas Tree

Today D&D put up their Christmas Tree. It seems to be a tradition with humans. There are plenty of trees outside, millions of them - but they drag this fake one up from the basement and set it up. The straighten the branches, plug it into the wall outlet, and the lights come on. I watch in amusement, knowing full well that there are plenty of good, live trees outside. Then they spent a good amount of time putting these ummmmm, they call them ornaments, on the tree. That is my favorite part of the whole scene. D&D stand back and admire the tree, with it's pretty lights and ornaments. I have to admit, the tree does look wonderful. I look at them with graditude in my eyes. I can hardly wait until they leave the house. Then it will be just me, and the tree. And all of those kitty toys they hung from the branches. Man - I LOVE THIS HOUSE.
